The Clinic for Neurology with Experimental Neurology at the Charité — Universitätsmedizin Berlin is represented in Berlin-Mitte, Berlin-Steglitz and Berlin-Wedding. Every year, more than 8,000 neurological cases are treated as inpatients on a total of 170 beds. The neurology department in Berlin looks after over 20,000 outpatients annually.
The intensive care unit represents a special area of the Clinic for Neurology in Berlin: It is operated in interdisciplinary cooperation with the Clinic for Neurosurgery and the Clinic for Anesthesiology with a focus on operative intensive care medicine.
The neurology team offers the complete diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the peripheral and central nervous system — including the neurological focuses:

Research
In addition, the Department of Neurology is very active in the field of research into the nervous system. Here, the Berlin neurologists work in interdisciplinary and international working groups on a variety of neurological topics.
The Department of Experimental Neurology carries out disease-related basic research — in close cooperation with the Center for Stroke Research Berlin.
The neurology researchers also investigate neurological diseases in joint projects, e.g. the NeuroCure Cluster of Excellence.
The Berlin Clinic for Neurology also specializes in the treatment of rare neurological diseases such as
